THE BLOCK is a simple protection-utility for your MAC. It invites the unwanted visitor to enter a password at startup. The clou is : this is only a fake ! There is no password that will be accepted, and there is no way to change it, because it simply does not exist! The only way to continue the start-up process is to type a secret key-combination and directly after that to click the 'Power Off'-Button in the dialog.
To prevent misunderstandings : In the following I will call the secret key-combination the
'Password-Key'.
The default Password-Key is <command> + <y>

Here are the important information for those of you who don't want to read the whole manual :
Throw THE BLOCK (the system extension) into your Extensions-folder.
Throw THE BLOCK Setup application into your Controlpanels-folder.
- Restart your computer.
- When the above shown dialog appears, type <command> + <y>.
(This is the default Password-Key)
- Click on the 'Power Off'-button in the dialog.
